This is an extremely vital feature as people are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of energy efficiency. Four out of five buyers prefer to purchase entire Energy Star-rated homes or Energy star-rated windows and appliances.
 
Eco-conscious buyers are attracted to features such as infrastructure that allows for solar panels (solar readiness), solar-powered water heaters, a whole house fan, “smart” thermostats, and smart air conditioners/heat pump heaters.

Modern buyers are looking for linen closets, pantries, and storage areas, e.g. separate mudrooms, laundry rooms, and garage cabinets to get rid of the mess and help them stay organized.
 
As a matter of fact, according to a recent survey conducted by the National Association of Home Builders, approximately 92% of homebuyers require laundry rooms; this is now considered a home’s most desired feature.
